Robot 2 : Shooting starts, Akshay Kumar to play important role

Finally the shoots of most awaited film Robot 2 (Enthiran/Endhiran 2) has started today (16 December, 2015). Director of the film Shankar announced about the shoots yesterday saying, "2.0 shoot starts from tomorrow.. Excited!!!"

And today Rajnikanth's daughter Soundarya shared "Off to first day shoot with #thalaivar #vasigaran #chitti #upgradedchitti2.0 #aaahhhhhhhhh #waytooexcited".

The film stars Rajnikanth in lead role and Amy Jackson will be seen playing the leading lady. While, Akshay Kumar is roped in to play an important role in film. Shankar's attempt to rope in Arnold Schwarzenegger to play the villain has fizzled out as he asked for a remuneration of $20 million (Rs 120 Crore). Now, it is being said that Akshay Kumar will be playing the same role.

It is also rumored that film is going to be the most costliest film and being made on budget of Rs. 400 Crore.

A.R. Rahman is composing the music of film. For the first time in 25 years, Rajinikanth will be doing two films Kabali and Robo 2 simultaneously. Nearly 90 percent of the shoot of Kabali shoot, and the film is gearing for a April 2016 release (tying in with the Tamil new year). Rajinikanth will have two different looks in both the films, and frankly, we can't wait to see the end result
